A refreshing and nutrient-packed Almond Milk Berry Smoothie combining mixed berries, banana, pear, and vegan protein powder, blended to creamy perfection. Perfect for a quick, healthy breakfast or post-workout boost.

  • Total Time: 2 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings

Ingredients

Fruits

  • 1 cup blueberries (frozen or fresh)
  • 1 cup mixed berries (frozen or fresh)
  • 1 large ripe banana (previously sliced and frozen)
  • 1 medium ripe pear (cored)

Liquids

  • ½ cup organic unsweetened almond milk
  • ½ cup water
  • 10 ice cubes (optional, if using fresh fruit)

Sweeteners and Powders

  • 2 tablespoons date paste (or 2 medjool dates)
  • 2 tablespoons vegan vanilla protein powder
  • 2 teaspoons maca powder (for improved stress handling)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Gather all the fruits, liquids, and powders as specified in the ingredient list. If using fresh fruit, prepare 10 ice cubes to add for chilling.
  2. Add to Blender: Place all ingredients including the blueberries, mixed berries, banana, pear, almond milk, water, date paste, vegan vanilla protein powder, and maca powder into a blender. If using fresh fruit, add the ice cubes now.
  3. Blend Smooth: Blend the mixture until it becomes creamy and smooth. If the smoothie is too thick, gradually add more cold water to reach the desired consistency, or add more ice cubes to thicken as preferred.
  4. Adjust Consistency and Flavor: For a thicker smoothie, add more ripe pear or frozen banana. For a thinner consistency, add more almond milk or water, though this may affect sweetness. Taste and modify by adding more banana for sweetness or extra almond milk for creaminess as needed.

Notes

  • Use frozen fruits to achieve a naturally chilled and thicker smoothie.
  • Date paste or medjool dates can be substituted depending on availability and desired sweetness.
  • Maca powder provides adaptogenic benefits that may help with stress management.
  • Adjust liquid amounts to tailor thickness to your preference.
  • Use organic and unsweetened almond milk for a cleaner flavor and lower sugar content.
