Ingredients
Chicken Mixture
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (boiled and shredded)
- 12 ounce bottle hot sauce
Cheese and Dressing Mixture
- 16 ounces cream cheese (at room temperature)
- 16 ounce bottle ranch dressing
- 6 ounces Monterey Jack cheese (shredded, about 1½ cups)
- 6 ounces cheddar cheese (shredded, about 1½ cups)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit to ensure it's ready for baking the dip.
- Combine Chicken and Hot Sauce: In a medium bowl, stir together the boiled and shredded chicken breasts with the entire bottle of hot sauce. Spread this spicy chicken mixture evenly in the bottom of a 3-quart baking dish.
- Prepare Cheese and Dressing Sauce: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the cream cheese and ranch dressing. Stir continuously until the cream cheese is fully melted and the mixture is smooth. Pour this creamy sauce evenly over the chicken and hot sauce layer in the baking dish.
- Add Cheese Topping: Sprinkle the shredded Monterey Jack and cheddar cheeses evenly over the cream cheese and ranch layer to create a rich cheese topping.
- Bake the Dip: Bake the assembled dip in the preheated oven uncovered for 30 to 40 minutes, or until the top is bubbling and browned to your liking.
- Rest Before Serving: Remove from oven and let the dip stand for 10 minutes to thicken slightly before serving.
- Serve: Offer with celery sticks, other fresh vegetables, tortilla chips, or crackers for dipping and enjoying.
