A soothing and naturally sweetened Chamomile Latte made with steeped chamomile tea, creamy oat milk, and a touch of honey, perfect for a relaxing beverage any time of day.

  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving

Ingredients

Tea Base

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon dried chamomile flowers (or two bags of chamomile tea)

Milk & Sweetener

  • 8 ounces oat milk (or milk of choice)
  • 1-2 teaspoons honey (to taste + more for drizzling on top, if desired)

Garnish

  • Pinch ground cardamom (for sprinkling over the foamy top, optional)

Instructions

  1. Steep Chamomile Tea: Heat water to boiling. Place the chamomile flowers in a tea infuser over a large mug or use two chamomile tea bags. Pour the hot water over the flowers or bags and steep for 5 minutes to extract the flavors. Stir in 1 teaspoon of honey, adding more later if you want extra sweetness.
  2. Heat the Milk: While the tea steeps, heat the oat milk on the stovetop over medium heat until warm. Alternatively, use a milk frothing machine to heat the milk.
  3. Froth the Milk: Once heated, froth the milk using a hand frother or by vigorously whisking with a wire whisk to create a nice foam for the latte.
  4. Combine and Serve: Remove the tea infuser or tea bags from the mug and discard. Pour the warm, frothed oat milk into the mug, filling about 4/5 of the way. Spoon or pour the remaining foamy milk on top. Drizzle additional honey over the foam, and sprinkle a pinch of ground cardamom if desired. Serve immediately for a comforting latte experience.

Notes

  • Use oat milk or milk alternatives if you prefer a dairy-free option.
  • Adjust the honey to your preferred sweetness level.
  • Ground cardamom adds a fragrant, spicy note but is optional.
  • Milk frothing can be done manually with a whisk or a handheld frother if no machine is available.
  • To intensify chamomile flavor, steep for a slightly longer time but avoid bitterness.
