This Dairy-Free Ranch Dressing is a creamy, tangy, and herb-infused dressing made without any dairy, perfect for those following a dairy-free lifestyle. Made with avocado oil mayonnaise and dairy-free milk, it combines fresh herbs and zesty rice vinegar for a flavorful and versatile condiment that can be used on salads, as a dip, or a topping for your favorite dishes.

  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

Dressing Base

  • ⅔ cup mayonnaise (avocado oil mayo recommended)
  • 2 Tbsp dairy-free milk of choice
  • 3 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 small clove garlic
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp sea salt (to taste)
  • ¼ tsp black pepper (to taste)

Fresh Herbs

  • 1 ½ Tbsp fresh chives (finely chopped)
  • 1 ½ Tbsp fresh dill (finely chopped)
  • 1 Tbsp fresh parsley (finely chopped)

Instructions

  1. Blend the Dressing Base: Add the mayonnaise, dairy-free milk, rice vinegar, garlic, onion powder, sea salt, and black pepper to a small blender. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth and combined. If you don't have a blender, finely mince the garlic and mix all ingredients thoroughly in a small bowl.
  2. Incorporate Fresh Herbs: Stir the finely chopped chives, parsley, and dill into the blended dressing until evenly distributed.
  3. Adjust Seasoning: Taste the dressing and adjust the sea salt, black pepper, or rice vinegar according to your preference for flavor balance.
  4. Store Properly: Transfer the dressing to an airtight jar or container and refrigerate. It will keep fresh for up to one week.

Notes

  • Use avocado oil mayonnaise for a healthy fat alternative and a creamy texture.
  • You can substitute dairy-free milk with almond, soy, oat, or any preferred plant-based milk.
  • If fresh herbs are unavailable, dried herbs can be used but reduce quantities to about one-third since dried herbs are more concentrated.
  • The dressing thickens slightly upon chilling; stir well before serving.
  • Perfect as a dip for vegetables or a dressing for salads and grain bowls.
