A quick and safe eggless cookie dough recipe perfect for enjoying raw or using in other desserts. This recipe uses heat-treated flour to eliminate any risk of bacteria and comes together in just 5 minutes, making it a delicious and easy treat. Variations include sugar cookie dough, double chocolate, and peanut butter cookie dough.

  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving

Ingredients

Basic Eggless Cookie Dough Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon whole milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips

Sugar Cookie Dough Variation

  • Replace the 2 tablespoons brown sugar with 2 additional tablespoons granulated sugar (total 3 tablespoons granulated sugar)

Double Chocolate Cookie Dough Variation

  • Replace 2 tablespoons of the flour with 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Variation

  • Add 2 tablespoons peanut butter to the butter when creaming with sugars
  • Add 1 extra tablespoon granulated sugar (total 2 tablespoons granulated sugar)

Instructions

  1. Heat-Treat the Flour: Microwave your flour in 15-second intervals, for a total of 30 seconds to 1 minute, until it reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) to eliminate any risk of e. coli or salmonella. Set it aside to cool for a few minutes before using.
  2. Cream Butter and Sugars: In a small bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until well combined and smooth.
  3. Add Milk and Vanilla: Pour in the whole milk and vanilla extract, then stir the mixture until fully incorporated.
  4. Combine Flour and Salt: Add the heat-treated flour and salt to the wet ingredients. Mix until everything is combined. If the dough feels too wet, add a little more flour until the desired consistency is reached.
  5. Fold in Chocolate Chips: Stir in the chocolate chips evenly into the cookie dough.
  6. Optional Variations: For sugar cookie dough, replace the brown sugar with extra granulated sugar. For double chocolate, substitute 2 tablespoons of flour with 2 tablespoons cocoa powder and mix it in with the flour. For peanut butter cookie dough, add 2 tablespoons peanut butter to the butter during creaming and increase granulated sugar by 1 tablespoon.

Notes

  • Always heat-treat the flour to make the dough safe for raw consumption.
  • You can customize this cookie dough by swapping in different mix-ins like nuts or different types of chocolate chips.
  • The dough is best enjoyed immediately or stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • Do not bake this dough as is; it is intended for raw eating only.
