This Homemade Immunity Shots recipe combines fresh citrus fruits, ginger, and powerful spices like turmeric and cayenne pepper to create a potent, health-boosting beverage. Designed to be packed with vitamins and antioxidants, it’s perfect for supporting your immune system naturally with a zesty, invigorating shot.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings (each 2 ounces)

Ingredients

Fruits

  • 3 oranges, peeled
  • 2 lemons, peeled

Spices & Flavorings

  • 1/4 cup fresh chopped ginger (pieces about 1/2 inch)
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 dash cayenne pepper (about 1/8 teaspoon or less)
  • 1 dash ground black pepper

Liquids & Sweeteners

  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Fruits: Remove the skins from the oranges and lemons, then cut them into quarters before adding them to the blender.
  2. Prepare the Ginger: Peel the ginger root and chop it into small pieces roughly 1/2 inch in size. Measure out 1/4 cup and add it to the blender with the citrus fruits.
  3. Add Spices and Liquids: To the blender, add turmeric, honey, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, ground black pepper, and water.
  4. Blend: Blend the mixture on high for about 2 minutes until smooth and well combined.
  5. Strain: Place a fine mesh strainer over a large bowl or measuring cup and pour the blended mixture through it to remove excess pulp and large clumps.
  6. Reblend if Needed: If there is still pulp left in the strainer, transfer it back to the blender, blend again, and strain once more for maximum juice extraction.
  7. Store and Portion: Pour the strained liquid into 2-ounce containers for individual servings or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  8. Consume: For best freshness and potency, consume within 2–3 days. Each serving size is 2 ounces.
  9. Freeze Extras: Any leftover mixture can be frozen in small bags or containers for longer storage and convenience.

Notes

  • The 2-ounce servings make it easy to consume a concentrated dose of nutrients without excess volume.
  • Straining ensures a smooth texture and reduces pulp that might be difficult to sip.
  • Freezing extra shots extends shelf life and preserves nutrients.
  • Adjust cayenne pepper amounts based on your heat tolerance.
  • Use fresh, organic citrus and ginger for the best flavor and health benefits.
