Ingredients
Dip Ingredients
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 ½ tablespoons hot honey
- 1 ½ tablespoons chili crunch (chili crisp condiment)
- ¾ cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- ⅓ cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 to 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Blend Cream Cheese and Base Ingredients: Place the softened cream cheese in a mixing bowl and use an electric hand mixer or stand mixer to beat until smooth and creamy. Incorporate the mayonnaise, hot honey, and chili crunch, mixing thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined and the mixture is uniformly smooth.
- Add Cheese, Herbs, and Lime: Gently fold in the grated sharp cheddar cheese, sliced green onions, chopped cilantro, and fresh lime juice. Season the dip with a pinch of kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, then mix to combine all flavors evenly. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed to balance the heat, sweetness, and saltiness.
- Chill to Develop Flavors: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the dip for at least 2 hours, or ideally overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the texture to firm up for easy dipping.
- Serve: Remove from refrigerator before serving. Present the dip with an assortment of dippers such as crackers, pretzels, chips, carrot sticks, or celery sticks for a delicious and spicy appetizer or snack.
Notes
- The dip benefits from chilling overnight for maximum flavor development.
- Adjust the amount of hot honey and chili crunch to control the level of heat and sweetness.
- This dip pairs exceptionally well with crunchy snacks like pretzels and crisp vegetables.
- Use full-fat cream cheese and mayonnaise for the creamiest texture.
- Fresh lime juice brightens the flavors; use freshly squeezed for best taste.
