Ingredients
Flatbread and Seasoning
- 2 flatbreads
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ tsp crushed, dried oregano
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
Toppings
- ⅓ cup fresh mozzarella
- 1 vine ripe tomato, sliced
- 2 tbsp fresh basil leaves
- 2 tbsp balsamic glaze
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 375ºF (190ºC) and allow it to warm up while preparing the flatbreads.
- Prepare the flatbreads: In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, salt, and crushed dried oregano to create the seasoning mix. Place the flatbreads on a cooking sheet and brush each evenly with olive oil. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over the flatbreads, then distribute the minced garlic on top.
- Add toppings: Evenly spread the fresh mozzarella and sliced vine ripe tomatoes over each flatbread, ensuring good coverage for a balanced flavor in every bite.
- Bake the flatbreads: Place the cooking sheet on the center rack of the oven and bake the flatbreads for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and the edges of the bread begin to brown.
- Finish and serve: Remove the flatbreads from the oven and allow to cool for about 1 minute. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and generously drizzle the balsamic glaze over the top. Slice with a pizza cutter and serve immediately for best taste.
Notes
- You can substitute any cheese of your choice to customize the flavor.
- Use fresh, ripe tomatoes for the best taste and texture.
- For a crisper flatbread, bake a few extra minutes but watch carefully to avoid burning.
- Balsamic glaze adds a sweet tangy finish—adjust quantity to your preference.
