These No-Bake Protein Balls are a quick and easy healthy snack packed with wholesome ingredients like oats, peanut butter, flaxseed, and protein powder. Perfect for busy days, they require no baking and come together in just one bowl. Sweetened with honey and studded with mini chocolate chips, they offer a delicious and satisfying bite for an energy boost anytime.

  • Total Time: 1 hour 10 minutes
  • Yield: 20 protein balls

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 1½ cups whole rolled oats
  • ¼ cup ground flaxseed
  • 2 scoops protein powder (¼ cup) - preferably unflavored pea protein
  • 6 tablespoons mini chocolate chips

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy natural peanut butter
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix together the rolled oats, peanut butter, ground flaxseed, honey, protein powder, vanilla extract, and mini chocolate chips until the mixture is thick and thoroughly combined.
  2. Form Balls: Using a 2-tablespoon cookie scoop, portion out the mixture, then roll each portion with your hands into firm balls about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Chill: Place the rolled balls on a tray or plate, then chill them in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours, or until they are firm and set.
  4. Store: Keep the protein balls refrigerated in an airtight container for up to a week, or freeze them for longer storage.

Notes

  • You can substitute peanut butter with any other nut or seed butter, such as almond or sunflower seed butter.
  • For a sweeter taste, adjust honey quantity to your preference.
  • Use any preferred protein powder, but unflavored or vanilla ones work best to avoid overpowering flavors.
  • Protein balls can be frozen and thawed in the fridge before consumption.
  • If the mixture feels too sticky, add a little more oats or protein powder to help bind it.
