Ingredients
Beverages and Juice
- 2 bottles kombucha of choice (such as ginger, cranberry, or original/unflavored), about 16 oz each
- ½ cup 100% cranberry juice
Fresh Produce and Herbs
- 1-inch slice of fresh ginger, thinly sliced, plus more for garnish
- 1 large sprig of fresh rosemary, plus more for garnish
- Fresh cranberries for garnish
Others
- Ice for filling glasses
Instructions
- Prepare Glasses: Fill 4 double old-fashioned glasses with ice cubes and set aside to chill them. This ensures the mocktail stays refreshing and cool.
- Muddle Aromatics: In a pitcher or quart-sized mason jar, add the thinly sliced ginger and large sprig of rosemary. Use the end of a wooden spoon or a muddler to gently press and crush the herbs and ginger, releasing their fresh flavors and aroma into the base.
- Mix the Drink: Pour in ½ cup of 100% cranberry juice and the 2 bottles of kombucha over the muddled ingredients. Stir gently to combine all flavors without losing the kombucha's natural carbonation.
- Strain and Serve: If desired, strain the mixture into the prepared ice-filled glasses to remove the solid bits. Garnish each glass with a sprig of rosemary, a slice of fresh ginger, and a few fresh cranberries for a festive presentation. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- Choose a kombucha flavor that complements the cranberry juice, such as ginger or original, for best taste combination.
- Adjust the ginger slice quantity according to your spice preference; more ginger adds a spicy kick.
- If fresh cranberries are not available, frozen can be used as garnish but thaw before serving.
- This mocktail is naturally low in calories and contains no added sugars if you use unsweetened kombucha and 100% cranberry juice.
- Serve immediately after preparation to maintain the kombucha's fizz and freshness.
