A refreshing and light Summer White Sangria featuring crisp pinot grigio, zesty triple sec, and a medley of fresh berries, topped with lemon-lime soda and garnished with mint for a perfect chilled beverage.

  • Total Time: 1 hour 10 minutes
  • Yield: Approximately 6 servings

Ingredients

Liquids

  • 1 bottle (750 ml) pinot grigio, chilled
  • ½ cup triple sec
  • 1 20-oz bottle Sprite or other lemon-lime soda

Fruits

  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup raspberries

Garnish

  • Fresh mint leaves

Instructions

  1. Combine the wine and triple sec: In a large pitcher, stir together the chilled pinot grigio and the triple sec until well mixed.
  2. Add the fresh berries: Gently add the sliced strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries to the pitcher and stir carefully to combine the fruits with the liquid without bruising.
  3. Refrigerate and infuse: Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for 1-2 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the sangria to chill thoroughly.
  4. Add soda and serve: When ready to serve, top the sangria with the lemon-lime soda (Sprite) for a fizzy finish, pour into glasses, and garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves for aroma and visual appeal.

Notes

  • The sangria stays very clear for the first few hours but will gradually turn pink from the berry juices if left overnight.
  • If made ahead of time, the berries absorb a significant amount of alcohol, which may affect the strength of the drink.
  • Use freshly chilled ingredients for the best refreshing effect.
