  • Total Time: 6 hours 45 minutes (including chilling and freezing)
  • Yield: 12 servings

Ingredients

Base

  • 2 packs Oreos, 133g each
  • 90g butter, melted

Gelatin

  • 3 Tbsp cold water
  • 1 Tbsp powdered gelatin

Cheesecake Filling

  • 500g cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 150g sour cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 150ml cream

Chocolate Layers

  • 150g 50-60% dark chocolate, chopped
  • 150g white chocolate, chopped

Garnish

  • Cadbury Top Deck chocolate pieces (optional)
  • Yoghurt, cream or ice cream for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Base: Crush the Oreos using a food processor or a rolling pin until finely ground. Mix in the melted butter until the mixture is well combined.
  2. Set the Base: Line a cake tin with cling film, pour in the Oreo base mixture, and flatten it evenly with the back of a metal spoon. Refrigerate to set firmly.
  3. Bloom the Gelatin: Combine cold water and powdered gelatin in a small bowl and set aside to allow the gelatin to bloom fully.
  4. Make Cheesecake Mixture: In a mixer, whip the cream cheese and icing sugar together until smooth and lump-free. Add sour cream and vanilla extract, mixing well to incorporate.
  5. Incorporate Gelatin: Melt the bloomed gelatin in the microwave for 10-20 seconds until liquid. Add it to the cheesecake mixture and whisk until fully combined. Then, divide the mixture into two equal portions in separate bowls.
  6. Heat the Cream: Heat the cream in a microwave-safe bowl for about 30 seconds until hot. Divide the hot cream into two separate bowls.
  7. Melt Chocolates: Add the chopped dark chocolate to one bowl of hot cream and the white chocolate to the other. Stir each mixture until the chocolates are fully melted and smooth.
  8. Dark Chocolate Layer: Fold one half of the cheesecake mixture gently into the melted dark chocolate mixture until evenly combined. Spread this dark chocolate cheesecake layer over the chilled Oreo base and freeze for 5 minutes to set.
  9. White Chocolate Layer: Fold the second half of the cheesecake mixture into the melted white chocolate until smooth. Spread this white chocolate cheesecake layer evenly over the dark chocolate layer.
  10. Chill to Set: Refrigerate the assembled cheesecake for 6 hours or overnight to firm up completely.
  11. Garnish and Serve: Once set, garnish the cheesecake with pieces of Cadbury Top Deck chocolate if desired. Slice carefully using a hot clean knife for neat cuts and serve with yoghurt, cream, or ice cream as preferred.

Notes

  • Ensure the cream cheese is at room temperature to avoid lumps in the cheesecake mixture.
  • Use a hot knife to slice the cheesecake cleanly without cracking.
  • Freezing the first chocolate layer before adding the second helps maintain clear layer separation.
  • The cheesecake is best refrigerated overnight for optimal texture and flavor melding.
  • The optional yoghurt, cream, or ice cream enhances serving but is not mandatory.
