Ingredients
Sandwich
- 4 slices of sandwich bread
- 4 slices of uncooked bacon
- 4 leaves of lettuce
- 4 slices of ripe tomato
- 1/4 cup Price's Pimiento cheese
Instructions
- Cook Bacon: Cook the bacon until it is golden and crispy. You can do this either in the oven or in a skillet on the stovetop, depending on your preference and available equipment.
- Drain Bacon: Once cooked, place the bacon on a paper towel-lined plate to drain off excess grease and keep it crisp.
- Toast Bread and Assemble: Toast the sandwich bread slices until golden brown. Spread about 2 tablespoons of pimiento cheese on one slice of toasted bread. Layer with tomato slices, lettuce leaves, and the crispy bacon. Top with the second slice of toasted bread. Repeat the process to assemble the second sandwich.
- Serve: Optionally, cut the sandwiches in half for easier handling. Serve immediately with your favorite chips for a delightful meal.
Notes
- For best flavor, use ripe tomatoes preferably from a garden or farmer's market.
- Bacon can be cooked in the oven at 400°F for 15-20 minutes or fried in a skillet on medium heat until crispy.
- Use fresh lettuce leaves to add a crisp texture contrast.
- If desired, substitute sandwich bread with whole grain for extra fiber.
- Pair the sandwiches with chips or a light salad to complete the meal.
