These easy Turkey Sliders combine the comforting flavors of a Thanksgiving feast into single bites perfect for parties or using leftovers. Made with soft Hawaiian rolls, juicy thick-sliced turkey, savory stuffing, tangy cranberry sauce, melted provolone cheese, and a flavorful butter herb topping, these sliders are baked to golden perfection. They are simple to assemble and guaranteed to please a crowd as appetizers or main dishes.

  • Total Time: 25-30 minutes
  • Yield: 12 sliders

Ingredients

Slider Base

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls (12-count package, Kings Hawaiian butter rolls)

Fillings

  • 2 cups stuffing
  • 1 pound thick-sliced turkey
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce
  • 6 slices provolone cheese

Top Spread

  • ¼ cup mayonnaise

Butter Topping

  • 4 tablespoons salted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon onion flakes
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Dish: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray a 9×13-inch casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking and set aside.
  2. Prepare Roll Base: Slice the entire package of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping the halves intact as a slab. Place the bottom half of the rolls into the prepared casserole dish, forming the slider base.
  3. Layer the Fillings: Evenly spread 2 cups of stuffing over the bottom rolls. Add the thick-sliced turkey on top of the stuffing, then evenly spoon 1 cup of cranberry sauce over the turkey. Finally, layer 6 slices of provolone cheese on top, distributing them evenly.
  4. Top with Mayonnaise and Rolls: Spread ¼ cup of mayonnaise on the cut side of the top half of the Hawaiian rolls. Carefully place this top half over the assembled fillings, completing the slider sandwiches inside the casserole dish.
  5. Prepare Butter Herb Mixture: In a small bowl, combine 4 tablespoons of melted salted butter with 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, 1 teaspoon onion flakes, and 1 teaspoon garlic powder. Mix thoroughly.
  6. Brush Butter Mixture: Generously brush the butter herb mixture over the top surface of the rolls to add flavor and help develop a golden crust during baking.
  7. Bake Covered: Cover the casserole dish tightly with aluminum foil. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. This step heats the ingredients through without drying out the sliders.
  8. Bake Uncovered: Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 5 to 10 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and the fillings are warmed completely. If the sliders were assembled cold, they might require a few extra minutes.
  9. Slice and Serve: Using a serrated knife, carefully cut the sliders apart along the original roll lines. Serve warm and enjoy the delicious combination of flavors.

Notes

  • These sliders are best enjoyed fresh from the oven, but leftovers store well in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.
  • You can assemble sliders 4 to 6 hours ahead of baking; keep covered in the refrigerator until ready to bake.
  • To reheat, microwave individual servings or wrap tightly in foil and warm them in the oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes until heated through.
  • Warming or bringing ingredients to room temperature before assembling helps ensure even baking and warmth.
  • Add a layer of mashed potatoes inside for an extra comforting slider variation.
  • Serve with turkey gravy as a fun and flavorful dipping option.
  • If you prefer, dinner rolls work great as an alternative to Hawaiian rolls.
  • Use a serrated knife to achieve clean cuts without squashing the sliders.
